Beth McFarland

Since 1998, Beth has been working with OMF International in a Creative Access Nation in S E Asia.  Her main ministry has been in English teaching and student work.  In March 2011, after a period of rest back home in N Ireland, she returned to a new placement with a mobilization team in the capital city.  Teaching English as a Foreign Language remains the key to obtaining a sponsorship and visa.  However the focus of the team is to disciple Christian students and graduates to have a concern for the lost of their Muslim-majority nation and to train them to share the Good News about Jesus, the only Saviour, with those they meet from among the millions in unreached people groups.  Beth sees it as her main task to encourage obedience to the Great Commission in the theology students at the seminary which is her sponsor for this new phase of ministry.

Billy Swann

Billy is Director of Dublin Christian Mission (DCM) which has six other full time staff.   He and his wife, Julie, joined DCM in April 1988 working on the youth staff.   A gifted speaker, Billy makes frequent visits to Northern Ireland to address meetings.   He describes his ‘highlight of the year’ as being the nine weeks of summer camp on the DCM campsite in Co. Wicklow.   Flowing into that camp work are months of clubs, family visits, trips, nurture and discipleship.   Flowing from the camps are group Bible study and the very real possibility of planting new churches in three city areas.   Billy’s greatest prayer at the moment is for labourers for the harvest field.   Billy and Julie have six grown up children.
